Recipient of the 2025 Award of Merit

We are honored to share that the Fuller Park Pool House restoration project received the 2025 Award of Merit from ICRI Concrete Repair Chicago.

We were proud to serve as General Contractor on this important restoration project for the Chicago Park District, with our sister company, SBK BUILDING RESTORATION, LLC, performing the masonry and concrete restoration work.

This project focused on stabilizing and preserving a historic structure while maintaining its original craftsmanship and character. Highlights of the restoration included:

• Hand excavation and underpinning of settled column footings using hydraulic rams and steel supports
• Replicating original column base rings with custom-built formwork
• Traditional rammed concrete repairs using custom repair materials designed to match the original structure
• Hand-forming deteriorated column repairs to preserve the historic column profiles
